The University of Rochester - Simon Graduate School of Business was established in 1958. The school offers full-time, part-time or Executive M.B.A. programs. A Simon School education is transformative, focused on providing students the latest theories in the science of management and on teaching our students on how to effectively use the theories in practical business situations. The common language of economics allows students to share ideas and solve problems based on mutually understood methods. You will learn that organizational problems cross all areas of the organization and begin to view these issues from numerous vantage points.

Faculty:- The faculty and the doctoral students at Simon provide the intellectual core of the Simon School. They are among the most innovative and productive researchers among business school faculty. Many of them are on editorial boards of top business journals. The school has 52 full time faculty

Full Time MBA

The Simon School is one of only a few leading business schools offering an accelerated degree for Full-Time M.B.A. study. You may begin in January, completing an 18-month accelerated version of MBA

Curriculum:- The Full-Time M.B.A. degree requires 67 hours of study consisting of a total of 20 classes (9 core required courses and 11 electives) and an additional 3-credit course on Communicating Business Decisions. Entrants in September complete the M.B.A. course requirements in six 10-week academic quarters with an internship in the summer between the first and second years of study.

Part Time Flexible MBA

Simon's part-time flexible M.B.A. (Flex M.B.A.) program offers the same educational opportunities and choices for a concentration as the full-time M.B.A. program, but through evening courses, tailored for individuals who are working while completing the degree. Students may enter the program at four different times of the year and choose the pace at which to complete their degree.

Curriculum:
- The Part-Time M.B.A. degree requires 64 hours of study and a total of 20 classes (9 core required courses and 11 electives) – the same course requirements as in our Full-Time M.B.A. As a part-time M.B.A. student, you may take up to 2 courses a quarter. The minimum time of completion therefore is 2 ½ years, but the average length to complete the program is 3 ½ years. Part-time students have up to 7 years – from the start of their first class to the end of their last class – to complete the degree requirements.

Accelerated Professional MBA

The Simon accelerated PMBA is designed for working professionals who seek to maximize their learning at an accelerated pace. The PMBA is a partial lock-step, class cohort system in which teams of students take their nine core courses together in a structured program of two evening classes per quarter. Thereafter, each individual selects 11 required electives to complete his/her desired concentration(s). Continuing at two classes per quarter, cohort members typically complete their degrees in 2.5 years.

The program is distinguished by its class cohort system, in which participants attend nine core courses together in a structured sequence, with study groups and tailored events and services designed exclusively for program participants. Subsequently, each student selects 11 electives to complete his/her desired concentration(s).

Executive MBA

The Executive M.B.A. Program students learn to understand the complexities of business in the twenty-first century. Policy is not made within a vacuum; deals are not brokered in isolation. Through study, analysis and hands-on problem solving, students develop a portfolio of tools that can be applied to a myriad of circumstances.

The Executive M.B.A. program’s high-quality, evenly-paced instruction is shaped to minimize unwelcome impact on career and family life. The Executive Program Office handles details such as parking permits, meals, books, laptop and software, registration and other administrative tasks.
