MAT Preparation:-

The MAT comprises of multiple choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical/Abstract Reasoning. In all there would be 200 questions to be answered in a total time of two and half hours

Verbal Ability:- MAT Verbal Section contains Reading Comprehension Questions, Sentence Completion Questions, Sentence Correction Questions, Synonyms and Antonym Questions, Analogy Questions, Paragraph Completion Questions

Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency:-

Data Interpretation (DI) - in the SDI section there were two question sets based in pie Charts, one question set based on horozontal graphs another based on tabular infornation etc

Data Sufficiency (DS):- There are about 10 questions on DS and all were relatively

1. If statement  A alone gives an answer, but b does not
2. If statement B alone gives an answer, but A does not.
If neither A not B is sufficient but, a combination of both is
4. More date requirement

Logical Reasoning:- Coding & decoding, Decision making, Series, Data arrangement, Statement - Argument, Statement-Assumption, Statement - Conclusion etc.

MAT Preparation Tips:-

Time:- Time is most importance in MAT. It is advisable to stick to the time schedule given below to finish the paper on time.

Reading:- Read the passage carefully and attempting to solve the answers

Strategy:- Decide your own strategy, depending on your inclination, comprehension skills, personal aptitude and difficulty-level of the passage.

Calculation:- Strong mental calculations and developing your own short cuts will prove very useful to score speedily in Mathematical and Data Interpretation sections.

Practice:- Reasoning section requires thorough practice of all types of questions. Since there are no fixed formulae to tackle them, the scores depend on how much you are familiar with myriad of questioning patterns.
